Committees, awards and advocacy activities

2024: Nominee for my local council ‘Woman of the year 2024’ award, based on my work in adult tobacco harm reduction and education of youth to prevent uptake of blackmarket vaping.

2024: Nominee for the Westfield ‘Local Heroes’ award, based on my work in adult tobacco harm reduction and commitment to longterm preventive care for smokers. 

2023: Group spokesperson for The Quit Collective, a group of like-minded Australian health professionals. Our mission is to support vaping as a credible and sustainable smoking cessation tool, and to contribute a balanced view to Australian public dialogue and tobacco policy.  See our media release and LinkedIn.

2023: Awarded a grant by THRSP (Tobacco Harm Reduction Scholarship Programme), awarded to only 25 recipients worldwide. This grant will allow me to establish the preventive care service ‘SmokerHealth’, providing long term care for smokers.  

2023: Nominee for my local council ‘Woman of the year 2023’ award, based on my work in adult tobacco harm reduction and education of youth to prevent uptake of blackmarket vaping.

2023: Member of the tobacco harm reduction JAPAC regional network group. This is a network of public health advocates across the Asia Pacific and Middle East region, with 2-3 representatives from each country. We educate and support global awareness of tobacco harm reduction, aiming to reduce the death and disease from smoking worldwide.
